Hello.

I've decided to get a chainsaw and chop up my own firewood.

What chainsaw will I need to get please.

You would be better off getting an axe . Chainsaws are not much good at chopping . They saw quite well though .

Well that's helpful.

Thanks for your time

No problem  🙂. Re the chainsaw for cutting your logs to lenght .  The world is your lobster really . Firstly what is your budget ? secondly what size ( diameter ) are the logs you want to cut ? This is just a stab but it could be anything from a " home owner " 30cc saw to a full on pro saw of , say 60cc .  We need more info . Sorry about the initial flippent post but I felt the need to see if you were a real person . There have been a few " bots " on here posting stuff of a similar kind . Please forgive me . @Chainsaw Mad Man .

Just me but I would also add in safety gear as well, I see too many people running around with little or no safety gear as well as people wandering into the working area as if they are iron/superman. Chills my bones.

Good replies thank you.

I'll need to be petrol I think. Wandering around my property is vast.

Also it's hot so I'll be in shorts and sandals.

I think a helmet and some sort of face guard will be necessary.

I'll mostly be chopping up pine trees.

I don't think it's Mick.

Proper attention paid to punctuation, which takes several members off the list. Could be me, I suppose.

Any guesses?
