He was a pikey last week, you meanie.

And you were a "malnourished anarchist". Yet we're all still friends.

Feel free to return fire. I'll call you something new next week.

I'm a perfectly well fed anarchist, with a tapeworm that diverts more energy than a US led invasion. Check your messages and maybe we can talk about trees for a change.

I wonder if we could steer conversation away from anarchist tapeworms briefly and back towards openable rings.

The steel edelrid cupid has an external diameter of 70mm. Does anyone know of an openable steel ring that is smaller?

I'm trying to cobble together an adjustable cambium saver with all replaceable bits, using bought sewn or spliced eyes or closed loops. In the style of this:

The Petzl Ring Open is smaller I think, but aluminium. Which I'd cope with, but I'd prefer steel.

Any ideas?

I wouldn't want to use openable rings for that because it's not perfectly smooth for the rope depending on orientation, which you can't see at the time. Personally I'd buy a 2m multisaver and when you've used it so much its worn out you have no qualms replacing it.
