Hi guys,

I currently work as a landscaper, but my boss wants to move me towards the Arb side of things a i hold my small felling an cross cut ticket and have a little experience. He is going to get me my climbing ticket and tree surveying too. But wants me to build a list of kit I defiantly need and kit id like.

I'm looking for a ground saw and a top handle (we already have an old huskie but are looking for newer and better, no position on electric or petrol.

We are also looking for mid range PPE (I have my own kit, but he wants business ones too.

And any tools you would recommend, I've mentioned some sharpening bits, a felling lever and some wedges, but need to know what I'm missing.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers

I'll save Mick Dempsey the typing:
"You have a chainsaw ticket so your boss thinks you're the goose who'll lay golden eggs if he throws three grand of arb gear at you."

Much like Mark and Stephen say, you can take three grand of tree gear and **************** the inside thighs of a tree job of any size. The cynical view is that if you don't know what you need, you don't need it because you don't know how to use it anyway.

Now I happen to be fairly open minded so tell us more about the situation (be brutally honest) and people will chime in to help you make money and have a good time.
