ISC Plummet

DMM Free fall

I'm googling, and now I'm disappointed.

I find myself wondering if parapent BASE jumpers (that is, a tandem flight of parapenters/paragliders, and the passenger bails in midair, to open their own wing on the way down...), or even slackline or hot air balloon BASE jumpers, etc., have any fancy name-brand technology available to them, like the Plummet or Freefall... or if they just rely on slipknots or fiddlesticks or even regular old unclipping.

I remember seeing a video of one BASE jumper deliberately rappelling off the end of a rope. Pretty wild.

ANYWAYYYYYYYY

Going back to the Vertec

Just ordered one and have seen a few youtube videos of issues rope tending as the carabiners are creating an issue with positioning

Doesnt look like much fun when it jams

Gonna ring Honey next week and have a yarn

PS Only swivel that has ever worked for me is on the Petzl zigzag single lining

Cheers lads and all the best for 2025, Lets do it all again shall we

In the video opening shot, note the carabiner and the wear on the top corner. Appears it is binding on the black peice and preventing it releasing. That is not normal wear for a biner.

It doesnt look like a huge carabiner, just a bad design on that part. Can the black piece be adjusted up as it appears to be the bottom of its travel.

I'd suggest trying it with a skinny steel mallion rapid quicklink.

Anything in instructions about compatable carabiners?
