Steady on Dave, me first.

Steven, answer the £1m chipper question first.

I’m not taking sides, you and Johnson never agree, I’ve had rows with both of you before, but like to think I’m pretty unbiased.

Sometimes, just sometimes, someone says something that makes you revaluate your position and see their point of view.

No shame in it, you know I value your opinion.

Not running a business at the moment, and the numbers are rule of thumb from my 'corporate world' world of work... however from comments on here (OK from smaller concerns than JohnsonDs £120k take home pay) not too far off from what you need to pay a man for a days work, and what you need to take to pay for the big machines he runs. I might be way off the mark, and perhaps best I don't run a business - never make any sales or money if so.

You are just keep making numbers up as you go I guess hoping as you often do if you keep saying it it becomes fact , creating crazy take home figures and inventing wild  day rates about stuff you know zero about and have no experience in as far as I can tell.  How do you know what my kit costs me SP ? Or what  it costs to run, it’s a Ford Ranger pick up and a mobile sawmill, hardly big machines. The extra £15 you mention will take a long time to pay the estimated 12-15k increase in cost on a replacement Ranger. The figures you pulled out your arse are so far off as to be laughable if you think earning £160k lets you take home £120k you might want to do a bit of research. Why don’t you just admit it’s a wank policy that will achieve bugger all from a wank government with zero interest or knowledge in helping the self employed or growing the economy.
I’ll actually help you SP take home from £160k is around £95k and a chunk less ( 5k ish) in Scotland, only £25k -£30k out eh 🤷‍♂️😞
Sometimes like another member suggested it’s ok to be wrong, so I’ve heard anyway 👍

You need a better acountant.

But thanks, I was just about to ask you to humour me, "to take home your £10k a month what would you need to take in a day".... £1250 a day nearer the mark?... and you think the tax increase on that will be too much for your customers? You need a better customer too if so.

Of course, that £1250 is just for you, there are the other 2 you share the cab with say a bit over £2k a day

SP are you literally that desperate to try and be right you are gonna keep brassing it out making up ludicrous incorrect and now seemingly increasing numbers and trying to pass it off as a valid argument. You have no idea what you are talking about, the figures you are posting are just figments of your imagination in particular what you assume is a day rate for milling is laughable🤷‍♂️ my customer base is good, I’m within 10% ( above as it happens ) approx of an established market figure what you with your vast experience and self proclaimed mastery of numbers and finance suggest is just not how it works.

My accountant thankfully is a bit more switched on with numbers than you.

Simple question SP what is it you actually do and are you employed or self employed 🤷‍♂️try to keep the answers short and to point.

As mentioned above, they are your number I am using.

🤷‍♂️ BS SP that’s just pure lies they are just mad crazy figures you are making up. They make no sense and bear no relation to reality ( apart from the vehicle age and mileage) somewhat like the clown running the economy at the minute, that’s the UK officially going backwards and half the crazy crap she put in previously hasn’t even in kicked in yet 🤷‍♂️

APPLE.NEWS

ONS data showing 0.1% fall in GDP in January comes less than two weeks before...

I’ll ask again what is it you actually do and are you employed or self employed 🤷‍♂️

🤷‍♂️A relevant and none too difficult question I’d have thought for a man with so much to say on the topic.

Jeez Louise; you've even taken to bashing out a reply to your own posts now? Talk about an echo chamber! I'm sure some charitable soul will engage you, if you're that desperate.

Go on then, what is it you want to get off your chest tonight?

lol 😂 42 to the rescue of his floundering ATL team mate, SP doesn’t need you to wipe his arse eh, I’m not replying to anything just reposted a question or two for SP to respond too. He had such a lot to say in the thread including going into great detail with his fantasy figures, and as I said it’s a relevant question, rather than a difficult one.

Ah ok, got you.

You'll probably have more success if you reply directly to one of "SP"'s own posts, rather than your own.

Failing that you could always deploy the old @Username function. Were you aware of that? You can do stuff like this, @Johnsond

Failing that you could just let it go and move on, talk about something uplifting for a change.

Have you planted any vegetable seeds yet for the forthcoming season? I'm just trying to decide what tomatoes to go for this year, probably Gardeners Delight again. You'll be a few weeks behind up there though.
