And you're surprised?.

 

Wasn't there a case somewhere where the fine was sizable, this probably barely even covered the cost of the court lighting let alone the actual case.

I'd always been told that the actual tree firm was responsible/ liable and not the owner - I'd thought it was unfair. Obviously I'd been told incorrectly.

Plus you also have to question wtf was happening for two years as he slowly took them down.

 

I can fart in a direction and the council would be here in the morning.

The article quotes someone saying another 40 years' life expectancy on each 100 year old oak... what exactly were they planning to do to them in 2060?
