Seen this elsewhere and thought it should be shared as a warning - turn them off when not cutting! I dont always use the chain brake on my saws but I always turn these off.

 

He said, he was dragging brambles with it held and turned on, something caught the trigger.

I lost the top of my thumb as a teenager with an axe and my nephew lost the top of one of his fingers when he was a young lad due to an incident with a heavy door so whenever we see each other we take great delight in saying “high 4 1/2” to each other, oh the little things in life that make you smile.

Ryobi and some other brands make a long reach version which I think would be safer.

I want one on a 4m telescopic pole stick but yet to find anything suitable. I may have to make an adaptor for the Fiskar/Magnusson poles.
