Scaffolding - stem removal

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience of the removal of the stem of a tree using scaffolding, put up around the trunk of the tree to enable it to be sectioned down.

I am not even sure its something a scaffolding firm would be prepared to do, due to insurance & potential liability etc. I am interested if someone has had occasion to use this as a method of removing the stem or has looked into the logistics of doing so with a scaffolder, and what the result was.

I'm sure it can be done if needed.

I've chogged down a few horrible stems in the past where some scaff would surely have made my life easier!
