i think it’s hard to go back to not using comms when you’ve used them for a while.

i think they are essential for some tasks, and i flatly refuse to do any of our roto stuff without them.

on my AAAC audits i’ve had a number of comments about how calm the sites are which IMO is down to the comms as there’s no shouting

we’ve used sena for years but i’m not convinced they are the best solution as can be temperamental

I was converted to comms by the righteous @Gray gitof this parish many years ago. Started with Sena and have stuck with them since. I have used the Stihl ones though and thought they were ok. I’m waiting to see if I can get my hands on the new Husqvarna Xcom offering to try them out.

Basically, I’ll never go back to not using them as they are a literal game changer on many levels.

Currently on 10r but am increasingly working with a crew on the Stihl pro coms.

As many have said previously once you have worked with Comms it seems an insurmountable task to operate with out them on so many tasks.

Has any one got a mesh Sena that can operate with the older senas and the recent stihl pro coms?

My sites and the others I work with/on are all super chill, no egos just all of us working in unison to get the job done safely and quickly. Quicker it's done the quicker you can go home.

I can see how the climber could be distracted but the groundies are all climbers so usually it's two way convos about whats happening up top and on the ground. Love the com

Well yes, not saying they’re a bad thing, just an unexpected side effect.

Normally when your groundy starts talking to you about his erectile dysfunction or whatever there’s a natural cutoff point when you start ascending and flip your ear muffs down, now however, tales of his flaccid manhood follow you up the tree.
