DIY DMM Tendon Knee ascender

Intellectual property rights aside...

 

This was put together from bits around my house in 10 minutes.

 

It works and isn't half as annoying to climb with on my harness as I expected it to be (although it has not topped a conifer hedge yet.

 

Might save someone £50

I watched DMM's video on it and I still can't tell what it does. Could you take a picture or something of it all in use please. Make it obvious. I'm clearly not very intelligent today.

The cord is elastic and it pulls up the knee ascender when you are rope walking. Lots of different systems out there....but this has the appeal (at least to me) that it is permanently on the harness and the elastic bit isn't flapping about getting caught on every bit of tree when climbing about.
