Pescription Safety Glasses

My last pair of JCB ones have broken after 5 months and Specsavers won't replace them.

 

Tired of the plastic ones degrading with sweat, dust and UV.

 

Anyone had a set that have survived and not looked too much like an old woodwork teacher?

Do you need specific safety ones, most places I've been say you should but are happy with over goggles when necessary.

 

Always worn cheapy glasses with plastic lenses, safer than glass and usually on a cheap deal.

I bought a pair of these recently. They seem to be decent.

Interesting but I need correction for astigmatism too.

Safety got specified on Highways and Rail so I just got into wearing them.

 

Nearly had a throwhook take my eye with it last year so I kind of like wearing them now

 

 

Just hoped they'd last a bit longer this time

Plastic frames are hopeless, they last about a month until they are sat on or get dropped. It's metal frames or nothing for me. Plastic lenses don't last and they are easily scuffed but it's worth it not to have glass shatter into your eye. I get through about 4 pairs a year.
