Box wood over 12 inches diameter is pretty rare.

Not so much here. It is quite common to find it on ride edges and for dividing compartments of Sweet chestnut  coppice.
Getting more scarce in this size due to box caterpillar. Cydalima perspectalis

Any demand for box wood timber?

Turners and some other woodworkers who operate beyond hobby levels love it; there's a chap on here who rarely visits now that is likely to be interested in 1" diameter sticks.  The stuff's that rare over here now and usable.

I actually have a handful of such sticks stored outside awaiting I don't know what or who to turn up!
