Calm down, you southern drama queen. You live on a swamp in Kent. It's just a tree in a nice place, sycamores are ten a penny and it's only famous for being in a Kevin Costner film. In about three days, the locals will go back to buying Lindisfarne mead (probably made in Northampton from Latvian honey) and wondering at the rich history of Beamish museum.

My Dad pointed out that tree to me 45 years ago.

 

If you don’t believe how much this means to the community up there head up to a few local pubs with that opinion and see how you get on.
