How many can the tree hold, do you think?

Any culled from injury I feed to the dogs, any dead through illness I either leave in the woods for a forest burial or they are given to the crabs.

Was going to let the others eat it but put it in the burn bin just in case it died of something contagious. Will do a post mortem in a bit. Still on with coffee.

You'd definitely want to cook it before recycling the protein back into the flock, especially if dead through illness not injury. But personally... I wouldn’t do that.

This isn't mid-war Stalingrad you know.

Morning all.

There's a change in the air today here as well, the dry spell is done. Helpful for the countryside, especially all.the hill fires that are burning, but I was quite enjoying things being dry. One good thing we'll get that gorgeous smell associated with rain after a dry spell, it has a name I think?

Lazy day for me, just do the chores.

Have a good one folks.
