Tide in at lunch so afternoon stroll along Charmouth beach with the old folk. Think I got to take a couple of calls about work too! Exploring a couple of job opportunities. Vat of curry to be made later for the old folks freezer. Did a large lasagne last night and they both had seconds which is a good sign.this followed by a couple of beers at Perry Street Club while the traditional local skittles teams played.

Enjoy the day safely.

More good weather today, some fallen oaks to clear up, plus a bit of flailing, machine work mostly.

Should be a good day.

Seen a few Big Oaks fall over and one split out a big limb around here lately .

It’s a neglected paddock, over the years the trees around the edge have leant further and further in to get the light, then….

They are not massive mind, I’ll take a few pics to illustrate.

edit, new truck itching to start the day.

The boys school is on strike today so he joining me in the woods to collect some firewood.
It’s about time I taught him how to cleave Sweetchestnut, so we will knock up a bit of post and rail whilst we are there, a lovely sunny morning.

Morning all,

Domestic chores today, and getting ready to head north. Going to daughter in Glasgow for the weekend, she and my wife will run the 10k. Then further north to stay with daughter’s in laws, doing some pruning for them.

Had a great vat of curry for old folk and sister last night, good catch up and question old folk on things of the past but Mum's dementia mean she can be pretty rude about stuff from the past - "his father was a dirty old groper, always grabbing girls arses and he was a noise in the Weslean Chapel too!".......

Going to aTaunton for something to do and possibly another walk along Charmouth later. Found a huge seam of Copralites along the beach - 95 million year old Dino pooh!

Be good at work and get ready for the storm!
