Just been into my local Lidl - 53cc saws, 18” bar, including ear defenders, mixing bottle, 3 year guarantee.  £89.99.  
 

The best bit - they are on buy one, get one half price.  So two saws to abuse for three years for £135…

and they are parkside which is draper which is god only knows . but hey as a domestic saw they aint bad.

Never new parkside lidl brand was made by draper.

i have a few of their battery tools and they are the same as the draper equivalent eg. the 1/2 drive impact is the draper storm 1/2 in drive impact.

Thats good to know. Are the batteries interchangeable?

to a fashion yes but you need to trim a tiny bit off the draper battery slot .

I’ve taken the plunge, bought the hedge cutter and the long reach hedge cutter.  Already have a petrol long reach but always been too heavy for any prolonged use.  First impressions they seem pretty sturdy but time will tell, have beech and conifer hedges to do in the next few weeks.
