That does make a lot of sense... And I think I'll give it some serious consideration.. Takes away all the issues im up against. The only thing I would have to do in addition is upgrade my vehicle to have a better towing capacity. I'm pretty sure I'm always over the legal towing weight. Currently I drive a suzuki vitara ddis 1.9td. I've literally in the last 2 weeks installed a pretty chunky ground anchor and use an Oxford nemesis 19mm un cropable chain and padlock. Not invincible but pretty annoying to a thief.

Un cropable it may be but in the days of battery angle grinders we are in nowt is safe!

I'm pretty sure 7.5T horse boxes used privately are exempt from inspections and O licence other than yearly MOT.

Correct, my last 7.5T living box was exempt, annual MOT was all that was needed. Some folk will say, if it’s got a tacho it needs 6 weekly and O license, it’s nonsense,

Don't you need an operator license for 7.5ton and a registered base even if it's personal usage ?.

I know you've the ticket, but aren't councils a bit arsey about something like that parked on your driveway?.

Not for personal use but try convincing them its personal use.
