  1. Another potentially viable option thanks....
  2. That does make a lot of sense... And I think I'll give it some serious consideration.. Takes away all the issues im up against. The only thing I would have to do in addition is upgrade my vehicle to have a better towing capacity. I'm pretty sure I'm always over the legal towing weight. Currently I drive a suzuki vitara ddis 1.9td. I've literally in the last 2 weeks installed a pretty chunky ground anchor and use an Oxford nemesis 19mm un cropable chain and padlock. Not invincible but pretty annoying to a thief.
  3. Ah OK... This is all new to Me... I'm certainly going to have to have a good look into all of this. Luckily I could park it up on a friend's field where we do all the noisy stuff and store wood ready for cutting and splitting... This is a big learning curve for me.... I didn't realise there was so much red tape... Hats off to all you guys that have been doing this in order to operate safely and legally.
  4. Thanks for that.... I've since found out its an iveco eurocargo ml75e17k. Type N2.. Revenue weight 7500kg... I have actually got an ifor williams trailer 8x5 which is great... But isn't a tipper sadly. Getting some great advice here so far thanks
  5. Thank you for that information... Very useful... I think its probably a 3.5t so hopefully the easier option.
  6. Hi... I've been processing firewood privately for myself and my friends and family (not a business... But more a hobby/lifestyle choice). I've just been offered a free arb tipper. My questions are... . Will I have to have the 6 Weekly check done if I use it for private use only? And what license category is required to drive it? As it stands I think I'm allowed to drive a 7.5ton with a trailer. I'll attach a pic of my licence. Thanks if your still reading this... I appreciate any advice you guys can give me.
