Nah it's not just you, I agree with all of those criticisms. I justify the power to weight because the sound isn't as annoying and the harness is good. Often wonder why they haven't added spring AV though since it's decent on their hedge trimmers.

I've not learned how a 4 stroke really works either, but that's a compliment to Honda's engineering to be honest: I've not needed to. If the engine won't run properly I rebuild the carb. If it still won't run properly then I check the plug and the valve clearances. That's kept the same machine doing some pretty heavy duty work for many years now.

I'm not sure to be honest. Think I learned of the Hondavarna's existence from a New Zealander or American on YouTube, so you may well be right on UK availability. I'd love to try one personally, seems like a great combination.

thanks for the feed back, il probably go with the 129 husky, weve just been doing some heavy strimming jobs at work so kinda enjoying being unable to strim at home!

Looking at stihls & echo they the have bad/no antivibe versus the husky, I am looking for something better than the rbc was with vibes.

 

Neither are better spec than the rbc was.

My understanding is that Husquvarna have the best anti-vibe and the pro brushcutters are all good.  I think it goes approximately 525 (25cc) 535 (35cc) 545 (45cc) and 555 (53cc).  It depends what you are cutting, but I find 25cc underpowered for anything but lawns and 53cc is heavy going.

 

Honda do 25cc and a 35cc fourstrokes.  However I've never really clicked with them - they are heavy for the power you get and the revs and power are just different.  Plus I am less familiar with the engines for repairs.

The difference between the rx and the rxt is the handle support tube, same engine, gearbox etc.
