I particularly enjoyed Ted Greens' response to hearing an ecologist forget that the things we were looking at were primarily trees,not as from her perspective as "habitat".He pointed out to the vested interests that if they prevented remedial work to the lapsed pollards then the habitat would cease to be.

 

'Twas good to meet some Arbtalkers and I thought the climber was a splendid chap (just in case I get him as an assessor in the future)

 

It was certainly thought provoking.

 

I must learn to show more respect and not rile those who make the job safe:lol:

No. Tim Bendal is a trainer/assessor at some colleges in the area. Top bloke, don't think he's ever been on here.

He was very competent and flowed well round the tree. I don’t think he is Steve, although I did done my salesman’s hat on at one point to try and liberate him..

Tim Bendall was my instructor / assessor back in the 90s. He was and I'm pleased to hear still is a flippin good bloke. Wish I'd come now, would have been good too catch up with him and you fellas.

Firstly if I seemed a little aloof to those I met from AT on the day apologies, had a lot on my mind and wasnt really up to my usual self. was good to meet all of you. been abscent because my dog Buff suffered a heart malfunction was ill for a while and friday eve I had to put him to sleep for his sake. So dont hold it against me if I was a little blank, buy you all a beer next time!
