I mainly agree Mick, but knowing what the f you are doing largely mitigates the risk most of the time.

These guys were clueless.

Well they got it wrong on that day, that’s for sure.

We don’t know the circumstances, only the outcome.

I cannot join in the pile on on the guy(s)

Even knowing what you’re doing doesn’t prevent something going wrong.

+1

I am just grateful that back in the day when I did all my naive sketchy stunt fells, there weren’t yet camera phones about to record my indiscretions and pass judgement.

Of course, we all screw up.

You should join in the pile on though, it’s warranted.

If there’s a risk of a tree going across a road you should at least stop the traffic, however legal.

In cricket there’s a saying.

”you cannot set a field for bad bowling” :)

For comparison:

EXTRA.IE

Dramatic pictures have emerged of a huge tree falling onto the front of a house in Co Wicklow.

(I only looked it up so I could critique the camera work)

The action is right at the start of the video.  Don’t blink or you’ll miss it.

Anything big like that ,I always climb ,no crazy risk ,just fell not fun ,unless it’s go that way.Public place ,traffic, pedestrian’s ,good lean ,possible rot, no felling vedge, short bars, bottom feeders😂. But most of the time  greed, just greed.Hope will never happen to me.I did risky things in my time, but I risk only my life ,not of any others this is my ,first rule. At least stop traffic for holy moly and control pedestrians.
