Was wondering about that too as the OP is doing forestry. I've never touched a full wrap handle or known anyone that uses them so I've no idea what the benefits are but must leave a higher stump.

Only heard of them being used on bigger trees overseas.

I would never entertain one for standard forestry work due to stump height. However, if you’re working on a slope, I’d imagine they could be useful especially on big old hairy edgers.

Also very good up a tree I’ve been reliably informed.

Dunno much about them although I remember something about them being  compulsory in  BC  state

Says so:

 The BC fallers guide:

Choosing a Chainsaw
Being a professional begins with
the selection and care of your
equipment. Use a professional chainsaw
model with adequate-size dogs and a
chain brake meeting current CSA standard.
Manufacturer’s full-wrap handlebars are
required. This provides maximum control
of the chainsaw in all cutting positions and
allows the chainsaw to always be used
with a pulling chain to avoid kickback (7).

I hope you dont want to fell too close to the ground then?

It will be mainly for outsiders which normally are jacked anyways.

Aye I do a lot of steep work. I'm buying a 562 here in the next few weeks for general medium tree felling and will have a big bar/full wrap set up on my 572 for the outside edge trees that need jacked over. So normally the stumps a little higher anyway!

I've pmed you.
