Bale Grab For Moving Log Bags

Hi,

 

Does anyone use a bale grab on  a mini loader for 1 ton log bags? If so any good? Getting fed up with folks and collapsing handles.

Do you mean one of the open/close type grabs?

I wouldn't personally, forks or a bag lifter are safer. I know the corner straps falling down are a pain, but the bags aren't designed for grabbing.

I mean this. Just for home/smallholding use, not worried about damage to the bags as future bags will be of average quality.

I'd be more inclined to slid the bags on and off the forks.

I am definitely looking another option other than the forks!

 

Expensive attachment but if it speeds things up and means I can move the bags on my own without constantly jumping on and off the loader I think it may be worth it?

 

Would be interested if anyone is actually doing so currently.

Sit full bags on pallets makes moving them about easy and keep them of the floor.

i keep my bags on pallets to move them around and storing them
then only take them off when loading onto trailer

i feel your pain having to jump on and off the loader when doing it!!

I do the same as suggested, I am just. trying to find an easy solution pretty sure the bale grab would be it but wanted to check.

As they aren't actually a ton what about making a box section sleeve for the forks with telescopic rods to extend into the lifting straps ?.
