I found an Ali body from a transit on eBay- cut the steel body off my iveco daily, swapped them over with help from a mate and various bars/levers etc.

welded brackets up in situ, bolted it down then made high sides from box steel and ply. Gave it a few coats of bitumen based paint and this lasted me three years. Took about a week and done for under 1k all in - this was about 10 years ago mind so prices have risen since then

I'm a psychopath, I went the other way! I had a renault master with a rotten tipper body. Got a great condition dropside (non tipper) body, from a transit, and fitted that, on my own. Not too complicated to make the mountings work.

Gave the old hydraulic pump and ram to a friend, sold the old (alloy) tipper sides for £100!

Handy little runaround, and the dropside has a swinglift on it, which to me is as handy as a tipper would be. (I know you could fit a swinglift to a tipper anyway....)
