Your letter just reeks of me, me, me.

Your mug of a husband is flogging his guts out to provide for you and the kids, gets home and he fancies a couple of beers and some telly, so what?

Last thing he needs is to go back out and spend time with your friends and other peoples kids, if he’s happy for you to do it that’s great isn’t it?

So now you’re planning to stripe the poor bastard of half of everything so you can fulfill your dreams of being a ‘free spirit’ (at his expense) just cos you’re not getting enough attention?

Grow up, count your blessings and maybe get a vibrator.

Grass isn’t always greener.

Dear Mick,

I'm at my wit's end and have nowhere to turn for advice, please help me, you're my only hope!

I've been with my partner over 10yrs now but recently I'm feeling mildly disgruntled. I don't work at all because she does, but I'm not idle because I sometimes hoover the middle bit of a room and I constantly monitor the TV to make sure it's working for her when she gets home from a 12hr day at work.

I appreciate she might be a little tired (women are quite weak that way) so I don't want her to worry about it not working properly once she's walked the dog and made my evening meal. She didn't used to complain much but nowadays she's become an utter whinge, just small things like not wanting to bring me breakfast in bed before she leaves for work at 5am which I feel is disrespectful to me, or when she does the shopping and gets the wrong type of lager, apparently I'm being ungrateful and she now refuses to go back to find exactly what I've decided I want.

Worst of all the Doctor says she gets the menopause which means she is always angry or crying and is repulsed by my 'needs'.

I feel the only option open to me is to take a younger partner instead, although none of the ones I've found so far earn as much or cook as well as the current one, and my mate said even a new one would end up being just as difficult once they've settled with me.

Please help Mick, it all feels so unfair...

Sadly I feel her unreasonable behaviour will drive you into the arms of a younger woman which will make you feel ‘alive’ something that’s been missing from your life trapped with that joyless husk.

Furthermore you should keep the house and she should pay all the bills including your new partners vajazzle while she moves into a rented flat.

Hope this helps…

Deidre.

I can see this thread running for a while yet 🤣

Unless other people have realised shed/barn + loyal hound/mutt isn't that bad

But, being serious, I am pretty lucky with my wife of nearly 40 years, she's very good

Keep on scrolling

A bit further

Now I only work 3 or 4 days a week

Dear mick, I have been in a relationship now for a number of years, she is german, a few years older than me and to be honest, while striking she is not exactly beautiful. We get along well although we do occasionally fall out, I've once found myself alone on the side of the road after a particularly bad episode. I've asked quite a lot of her over the years, she has been reliable and a loyal workhorse around the home, farm and even at work. Unfortunately she smokes quite heavily and has needed some expensive cosmetic work recently. It was while she was in for these procedures that I met this Finnish stunner. My gawd, the body, the lines, those legs. so beautiful.youd spend the week in her and want to spend the weekend too. I even had a go in her behind my old lady's back and I'm in love.so smooth and effortless. She is barely half my age but fully legal. I really think I have a chance. My mates reckon I couldn't afford her and I'd end up broke and disappointed as she would probably wind up going the same way as the old girl before her, dated, smelling of old smoke and unable to pull herself up a gentle hill. I need your help mick, I just don't know what to do.

Should I keep the mog and chipper or get the valtra with the timber trailer?

You’re mates aren’t your mates, they’re jealous and don’t want what’s best for you.

I will remind you of two quotes.

‘Its not enough that I succeed, my friends must fail to make me happy’ (Gore Vidal)

’when you’re in love with a beautiful woman, you watch your friends’ (Dr Hook)

Hope this helps.

Deidre.
