Bought a t540i xp about a year ago and then one day it decided not to turn on anymore. Took it into dealer who plugged it in to their laptop husky diagnostics software and it came up as nothing wrong! They have ordered a control unit as a best guess fix. While i am still waiting for that to arrive, i bought the t535i xp, and then today, after just two months use, the same thing has happened!! It will not turn on!  I am so frustrated. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've had trouble with the on/off on our husky top handle battery. Albeit a slightly older model. I think it happens when the saw gets too wet and something short circuits. If the saw is still under warranty then potentially the dealer can replace the part for free.

If not then you can buy a control unit online and change it yourself. Its very simple to change and cheaper to buy the parts online. That is my experience anyway.

Are they like a soft top sports car , sunny days only ?

Mine haven’t been.

I have used them when it’s been hammering it down!

Maybe they are more like ‘British cars of the ‘70s’

There are normal ones, and there are ‘Friday Afternoon’ ones!
