Where I live the most things that get stolen are outboard boat engines, livestock trailers and quadbikes.

hardly anybody risks leaving outboards on boats anymore.

there have been a few instances in recent years, where outboards without trackers have been stolen while no attempt to take the ones nearby with trackers fitted.

 The thieves seem to be well equipped and plan their thefts really well.

An immobilizer that needs a code from the key to unlock the fuel pump rack (receiver on injection pump, hard to get at) has been standard on cars since 1995. WTF not plant engines?
