Those Protos seem very heavy, I have a husky arborist lid. Very light and comfortable.

I am all in favour of constructive debate so..

Stick your Protos up your arse.

I used to have a Husky arborist lid. But now i have a Protos. The range of pretty colours is the deciding factor, and most important aspect of any PPE

Yeah sorry, I just feel really strongly about it :)

My nephew sweated like Katie Price on Father’s Day in his, seemed like a hell of a weight to sit on your noggin all day.

Out of Myself and all the lads, I'm always the last one to remove my helmet when raking up etc at the end of the job. I just don't ever feel uncomfortable in it, unlike them with their (other brand) lids who throw them off as soon as the clutch is disengaged on the chipper xD

They can’t be all bad I guess, enough people seem to buy them.

My previous one saved me during a bad pendulum swing a few years back, head impacted a willow trunk and the lid took the brunt. was still in one piece but with a few stress marks so i replaced it.

We're all made different though so its logical to assume people will get on with some designs better than others! all subjective

I picked up one of these at the APF, it the most comfy helmet yet that I have worn.

For me this is worst helmet I ever had, sitting to high, adjustment wheel is awful, don't buy it without testing, Protos is nice but ear protection is  weak, so KASK IS MY CHOICE.

I used to work with someone who had a protos, he would always take it off and leave it on the ground somewhere straight after coming down from a tree. I never could work out why he didn't look after it better as cost a fortune.

On the other hand I keep my Petzl on the whole job - keeps the sun off my bald patch and if put it down I'll forget where I left the flippin thing.

Horse for course.

Not sure I could get away with walking around in a helmet with ‘zero’ printed on the front.  Nearly as bad a cap from Gap.
