My guy got back to me. It uses more fuel for sure.

The 500i is an awesome saw. Ported it’s just an animal. So as I said it depends what you want. Next one I do I’ll do a comparison vid stock vs ported.

Was cutting a big lump of beech.

One of the biggest differences with that you’ll notice is the revs when it’s dogged in. It keeps the high revs. Doesn’t back down.

Wonder how loud it is compared to a 572. I do like my 572 but damn is it noisy. Significantly louder than my other saws.
