Do you have an image of the buds, the bark, and maybe a picture of the whole tree?

Customer only sent this and they are not at home. Sorry. My initial thought was lime but……..not sure.

I'd take a guess at some form of Hazel.

I was thinking one of the alders, possibly incana?

Don't think its a lime alder or hazel im not sure what it is though.

 

The green twig colour of  this yrs new growth is abit distinctive....

 

Almost apple like....

Initially I was leaning towards some kind of Sorbus but the buds in the top-right corner of the pic don't fit that .

Thanks.  I went to look at it cos I wanted to know.  Apple.  Funny how after all these years I've never really noticed an apple leaf features but as soon as I saw the tree and bark........boom.
