I'm with Robert, handles are for women

Handle may be for woman, but somebody that i used to work with, managed to loose his file in his forearm when he tripped over. Amazingly it took him 5 minutes to find where the file had gone, when he spotted the small trail of blood on his wrist. Surgeon could not believe that the whole file was in his arm until he removed it.

What do you find is the best handle for a chainsaw file?

Plastic or wood?

Contoured or smooth?

(This obviously applies to round files only. Flat files is another thread entirely).

Thanks.

Well, in the workshop, I prefer the wooden handles, but in the field, I really like Husqvarna's plastic handle, that can easily be switched between the four files I use regularly (4.0, 4.8, 5.5 and flat). That way they take up much less room in my little toolkit.
