I think personally that trump one way or the other will bring this war to an end.

Putin is not going to back down and  ukraine cannot continue to keep fighting without the yanks backing.

Sorry, but I disagree. Trump has shown only " appeasement ". I hope and believe that Europe will do what Trump is seemingly afraid to do.

If moral amongst the soldiers is at rock bottom as dave said its only a matter of time before they give up. Everyone has a breaking point and the people of ukraine are getting hammered night and day.

Putin has no value on human life and will continue no mater how many people die.

I am pretty sure the moral amongst the Russians is as low if not more so . They are deserting in droves .

Russian Army no longer grows as mobilisation of troops is now less than the losses . Putins army now starts to shrink .

I missed that story, interesting though. A few things maybe could happen - Putin could go more hard core on conscription, or use bigger weaponry, one thing I doubt will happen very quickly is him accepting a deal where he has to concede any of the land he invaded and grabbed - at the expense of a longer war and more losses.

Interesting to see in the UK press how the Ukraine are making some quite targeted attacks into Russia with minimal human (well, Ukrainian) humans put into danger - drones and stuff - regardless of warfare, what they can do with drones and unmanned stuff is quite clever

He is running out of men but he wont accept that . Ukrain have been targeting Military stuff like planes on the ground with long didtance drones ships in the black sea with sea baby drones and land based stuff like oil refinarys , distribution buildings , amunition dumps etc etc . Russia have been targeting civillan areas , towns , and power stations to try and destroy moral in this winter . Meawhile Ukranian troops are valliantly holding ground and in some instances recapturing villages . Putin is not interested in any kind of deal other than complete capitulation of Ukraine . He will keep going untill he is spent IMHO .  Also the Russian Genarals are bullshitting Putin about the advances they are supposadly making .

did you see the clip of Trump this week moaning that the Ukraine had targeted one of Putins houses, he was very upset, and very much ignored the thousands of Ukrainian homes destroyed by the Russians.

I reckon Putin cannot admit to doing badly - he has built his whole persona on being the tough guy - from his calendar shots bare topped horse riding, bear wrestling type things, cannot back down, so yes will keep going at it till spent or till the Russian Generals have a quiet word with him, tower block open window accident style.
