Mature beech trees reduction

Sadly, I done lots of work like that, customers just ignore all my explanation, that they wasting money and destroying tree, so I just did what they want, it just me or others, sometimes I pass those ugly things I did, and feel embarrassed. Just do it.

Best option would be to thank the client for contacting you but say that you are not interested in taking on the work proposed as the trees are too old to pollard/reduce in size as proposed and if every other tree were to be removed because the trees have all grown up to together the remaining trees are going to be more susceptible to storm damage. If the trees pose an unacceptable risk of harm then they ought to be removed if not they should left for the time being and regularly inspected.  Best to not get involved in jobs like this and save your reputation in my view.

It would be a waste of time trying to get sunlight over the top of those - you would need to halve  them to have any meaningful affect. If they will not listen to sense then do what makes you the most money

I did it loads when I was young and hungry for cash mate.

 

Most of the customers never got me back after stage one of killing their trees, and told their friends.

 

I know what you’re saying mate, but perhaps if I’d been better equipped with knowledge back then we could have achieved some more favourable outcomes for them and their trees?

. Just to do a final update... Have talked the customer into just raising 3 or the beech trees and removing a couple of larch to hopefully let in early sunlight.

 

They are then going to monitor over summer and make a decision on whether they want more work done on the beech trees and have agreed to replant if they decide to remove any.

 

Feels like a good outcome to me so thanks again everyone
