Owl box plans

Hi, I've been asked to make a couple of owl boxes for barn owls and they are going to be mounted on some tree trunks.

 

I've never made owl boxes before, so I've no idea what they should be like. I've googled them and got totally confused. I quite like the triangle shaped ones but don't know if they will do the job.

 

Has anyone got any pictures, simple plans, that I can copy.

Harvey i have one that was given to me by our local wildlife trust,i will take some pics tomorrow and send you if any help

I made a barn owl box  last year with the help of a young person, it was actually their project to do with my supervison.

If you treat the wood has to be non spirit based.

As long as they can land and then get in and shelter from draft it makes no difference what it looks like,

Teenages often don’t like being referred to as Children so I call them  young person or young adult depending where they are in their teens.  
Ok then!! I supervised the making of this Owl box with a Teenage Foster Child who I had on day support.
