Long story short, my nephew is looking to buy a chipper in Yorkshire.

This has turned up but it’s a bit tenuous but might be legit.

He has asked to see the plate with serial number but has received two photos (attached)

I can’t post links but it’s on Gumtree if you care to look.

Thoughts?

Could be legit, but vans and surroundings look didycoyish, looks like another timberwolf in one of the pics on gumtree. Proceed carefully.

Mind you tidier than my yard at the moment.

Sure, the failure to provide a serial number is a red flag.

A bit too cheap as well, the paperwork could be what was in the plastic box, can’t read the headed paper.

The serial plate appears to be where it should on the side of the chassis in the photo. The other photo appears to be of the Vin number , they leave the factory covered with a length of clear tape as in the picture.

The Chipper is on eBay as well and the guy has photographed his van number plate on both listings. It is a white transit....either he is a none too smart scammer, it is a fake plate or is legit.

Payment is cash on collection....you may get the chipper but it may be stolen!
