I'm not in the firewood business, my house runs on solid fuel so always after trees to log.

I'm clearing 50 sycamores for a friend and the timber is mine. I've made a log splitter about a year ago so processing doesn't take long. Would it be any good to sell a few loads when seasoned just to offset some costs?

You probably have 2 cubic metres in the transit so conveniently that would mean you are above the size requiring you to register for Woodsure.

Crack on, should be £200 for a van load seasoned at least, depends where you are a bit obviously.

Sycamore burns well, just make sure you get it cut and drying quickly because it rots fast if it's left on the floor.

Unless you're really desperate for cash, build a good shelter and keep it. Logs in the shed is better than money in the bank.

What's woodsure?
It was slightly tongue in cheek, Woodsure is the body theoretically administering the firewood legislation that nobody has heard of. In my estimation something like 0.01% of firewood producers are currently registered, as eggs said crack on its only firewood for beer money.

Cheers for the replies, it's being split as we drop them. Dropping 2 or 3 Friday afternoon going back Sunday to delimb and burn the brash and knife the trunk up. Working well keeping the area tidy while making decent progress.
