ID threads used to be fun didn’t they?

These days with the plant ID apps on the phone (my nephew showed me his and I was astonished at the accuracy) I wonder why anyone bothers to ask.

My sis goes on and on about Google Lens, so I tried it on a common tree. It got the ID wrong, and suggested 6 alternatives, all of which were wrong.

We were just out walking the dog and my wife has Plant Net on her phone.

Correctly identified Verbascum, Hibiscus and Milkweed. Have to say I was very impressed.
