With regards to the mail order situation as I understand it, if you can prove you are competent (NPTC cert) or a professional/commercial company, or a previous customer then it should not be a problem.

 

I have used George Carr & Sons in Bristol for chainsaws, always get a good deal from them.

I don't know about Huskies, but I do know that the 046 is a machine that has the power to do everything you need, and not too heavy.

 

We also have an 026 which not the all rounder the 046 is.

 

You will be going in over budget but you will have a saw that will easily last you 5years+, and for a couple of hundred extra you won't be saying, ooooo wish I had something a bit better that will eat everything you throw at it!

Not under Stihl's new rules previous customer yes, but none of the rest I have been told that I can't sell Stihl machines to a new customer even if they hold a NPTC or professional/commercial company.

Do they not want to sell their products? seems a little short-sighted on their behalf, how about all the future arbs wanting kit? Not all of us are blessed to have dealers on our doorsteps! Is a previous cusomer someone who has bought any product from you, even if its listed as a pair of gloves, or does it have to be a saw?
