Skylaunch or bigshot ?

Both at the same price point, bigshot seems to have a 6" advantage with regards to pole length.

What's the best one ?

Personally I would buy a big shot, just because it isn’t made by Stein.

I have the big shot and really like it. Does a good job. Not had any experience of the stein because everyone I know with one has a big shot 😂

To be fair I think they are both pretty good. The Big shot has been in the industry longer and is probably the more popular of the two. I don't think there is anything wrong with the Stein Skylaunch. From my experience having used both, I can normally make the shot I want with either.

That. Although at least Stein have the decency to come up with the occasional original idea, where Notch seem to do a great job of ripping off anyone they can.

I find Notch to be fine tbh.  The Rope Runner Pro is a delight to use.  So are the Gecko spikes.

Hmm I'll bite and try to suggest a few - bollards Reg designed, arb trolley, X2 spikes, vega harness.

I'm not decided on Notch, they seem to be relabelling stuff and have some new products much like Stein do as well.

The earlier folding stein catapult was crap and didn’t last me over a year, the big shot has done me years and isn’t really showing signs of giving up. 
 

That said I can’t comment on the new stein offering on display here as I’ve not tried it.

In response.  The bollards and the trolley are Reg’s ideas and not Stein.  The X2’s are horrendous to wear and some of the most uncomfortable spikes I have tried.  
 

No idea who invented the Vega harness.  But had a go and it wasn’t for me.  
 

My comment was based on the history of Stein taking a good product and relabelling it.   Then the quality of that product reducing rapidly.  Just look at their first version of the Rain Jackets.  They were cycling ones, worked great and did the job.  Then most of the people I know who them bought them found they were wearing a tbag.  

Their cubes were just copies of the Falteimers and Weaver fold flat throw line cubes.  I have had one Falteimers cube for over 8 years and apart from the dirt it is as good as new.

 

I have seen Stein cubes fall apart in the first week.
