ok ignore most of the nonsense on this tread.

Have you made a change of use from residential to another class ?

Parking a vehicle or vehicles does not matter one jot.

If you were processing timber at home then maybe just maybe they would have an issue.

You have zero to worry about apart form cnuts as neighbours.

Hopfully this is the case. The main aim of the post was to see if anyone has been in a simlor situation and if there was anything i needed to say of have in place prior to the visit.

At the back of the crew cab.

That sort of answers your question, you've got two arb trucks a loadall, and lads who work for you parking around the corner, that sort of says you are running a business from a domestic property.

Yes but only for 10 min in a morning and then 10 min at tea time, we do the saws and chipper up at the yard and the handler prob goes out two times a week..

You know you are running a commercial set up from home, it's nothing like a sparky, plumber or most other trades where one or two blokes get in a van and go to the job. If it was a house out of the way you would probably get away with it. Being on a busy road where everyone and his dog can see what's going on is another thing.

Nothing wrong with what your parking on the drive what so ever and as mentioned just show council you have a business premises (yard) you work from and that will be the end of the matter. As for guys parking around the corner their vehicles are taxed and insured so have every right to park up where ever they so choose.

Not a good idea mr huck just get on the blower and nip it in the bud.

Not in my experience.

Years ago they got onto me about me running a business from home, said the timber I had stacked in the field was not "agricultural" etc. They wrote to me and then rang me asking me to write to them explaining myself. I declined. I asked her if the timber looked a mess and was it not the sort of thing you expect to see in the countryside. She agreed it looked ok and yes it fitted in. I pointed out I was not storing old fridges or scrap cars. She asked me to drop her a line to that effect. I decided. She asked why. I said "if I write to you, you will open a file with my name on it and it will all begin, but feel free to give me a bell any time"

A month later I got a letter saying they were taking no further action at this time.
