Slippery decking

got some slippery decking @ home any ideas on how to treat it, is it possible to stick grip sand on it ,

Ours became slippy becaue of moss and slime ontop, pressure washed it off and hey presto, not only did it come out like new but wasnt slippy anymore.

Another vote for a jet wash, solves the problem 90% of the time, or alternatively some bleach and a stiff brush.

Wait till summer, pressure wash it off then leave it to dry bone dry.

 

Treat it with a preservative paint and before the treatment drys sprinkle on kiln dried sand lightly all over.

 

When it drys you have a brilliant non slip surface

Cuprinal do a anti slip varnish for decking.

just throw a regular couple of hanfulls of sand on it silver sand preferably and let the feet do the grinding.

jet wash off, then as stated above, the three big stain companies all do an anti slip stain

 

preferably get an anti fungal one

Rip the bloody stuff up and throw it on a fire.

Replace with a masonry (slabs, brick or block paving) patio.

would do, but it was put in to bring the garden up to 1, leval so the kids have somewre leval to play on

i have used a product called algon, got it from the garden center about £6 you put it on with a watering can and walk away had some good results with it
