Buying a house with a large tree in front

Hi there. We in the process of buying a house in the UK, and it has a tall tree on the neighbors driveway about 8 meters in height (it's probably some kind of a pine tree), which is about 5-6 meters from our house. Is this something to worry about? Here are some photos showing it as well as the driveway which may be affected

Survey first, but I would recommend removal as blue cedar is going to grow enormous and will cause significant light blocking, needle drop and cedar has a brittle wood quality so expect twig an larger branch drop (esp loaded with wet snow) in the future, not I deal to have cars parked under. Or if wanting to retain be prepared to spend money on prevention of the above.

Not as such but I would like a chat with the neighbour to see how things stand before purchasing the property.

 

I remember deadwooding (with 2 other climber)  two cedars in front of a house in Reigate and thinking I wouldn't want them in my front garden and I just imagine what this tree will be like in 30 years.

Spot on mate, I wasn’t having a pop at Treeation really, just the ownership issue.

 

If the neighbours love the tree and can’t see the future bother it will cause I would look at another house.
