Dont laugh I normally use an ms 260 for preping wood for our Hakki pilki.

But i could have a noise problem if I am not careful. Is there a saw which copes with 10" plus stuff or are they all a waste of time. Any input really gratefull

Some of the more powerful leccy saws are ok but dealing with 10" timber on a regular basis................not so sure you might be pushing it a bit.

Even if I used it below 8" for kindlet preperation it would cut down alot of noise. also sometimes you just want to cut 8" cord in half to get in the stack when processing often I dont bother pulling the saw and just grunt it on. But with an electric you could pick it up and put it down.
