used have seppi with fixed hammers very good ,picked an old crankshaft up & thru it 200yrds across a building site ,can save seriouse time with scrub etc ,but you need the work to warrant 1,& the hammers arent cheap !!!!!!!!!!

it would be mounted on a tractor approx 130 to 180hp and looking to buy most likely or if too expensive maybe hire. have a bit of woodland to do.

the mulcher i occasionally hire n the flail part cost over £40 000, i suppose they come smaller and cheaper

whatever you put it on make sure its got low gearing ie creeper box, i had someone doing some mulching in an orchard and even with a big hp tractor it was constantly on the clutch rather than a constant creep

Try before you buy, go see them working, compare swinging hammer with fixed tooth, what do you want to mulch? my experience swinging hammer v. good smaller produce inc. grasses & brittle stuff, elder thorn etc. and in situation where you may damage fixed tooth eg cast man holes rail lines other immovable solid objects, fixed tooth better and more aggressive for mulching trees roots other produce + cultivates ground better will pick up produce and mulch , call me if you wish I have both seppi swinging hammer and ahwi and yes they are 40k for the big ones even more now with exchange rates and newer models
