Husqvarna 2 stroke oil mix

Hi,I have inherited two old Husqvarna chainsaws a 45 and 61 they are running very well.What is the fuel oil mix for these saws I read online that it was 50/1 if you use Husqvarna 2 stroke oil but 33/1 or 25/1 if other 2 stroke oils were used is this true?Any advice would be great

Modern synth oils are fine at 50:1 .

Fully or semi synthetic oil is fine. They are saying don't use some old no brand two stroke oil for low performance slow revving engines. Personally I would stick with Stihl or Husqvarna semi synthetic as it isn't too expensive and is designed for the type of engine you have.

I use Stihl HP Super (green oil) at 50:1 on the kit I get in.

If you are an occasional user and want to leave fuel in the saw all the time, perhaps an Alkalyte fuel is worth looking in to. Husqvarna, Aspen and Stihl all do their own types -  much comes down to what your local dealer stocks.
