Yep I think I know the video you mean. I have never had an issue with my own Timberwolf chipper which I have had for 4 years, also most of the guys I work with have Timberwolfs and again no issues. I have friends who work for bigger companies who run Forsts, all have had issues!

Thats why i was asking if this has happened to anybody else, but it seems to have turned into a "what chipper do you prefer thread" 😧

I use a tracked 280 regularly.  I have a deal going with one of the guys I work with who has one.   We collaborate a lot on jobs, he uses my ST8 if needed and I take his 280 when needed.  
 

I reckon the ST8 outchips it tbh.  But they are both very productive machines.  His ones into its own as he has two winches in it.  Front and back.  We fell a lot and winch to the hopper.  Great for hung up trees.  Cut the end off and just rip it out.

 

The ST8 seems to drag in quicker once you are at the rollers.  It could just be the 280 needs to have the feed rollers touching up mind.
