At about 4.30am on 8.2.21 our Greenmech Arbtrack 190 wood chipper was stolen from Bardfield Saling in Essex.

 

Serialnumber 160460;  682 hours

 

Excellent condition. Only purchased one week earlier.

 

It was on an Ifor Williams GSX plant trailer listed separately as stolen

Even if it is just off the trailer they will make more noise and take longer if it is off. Those RDS units can be configured to need a pin code to start too and if the engine is not running and they cannot pick it up then it is difficult to move. We had 3 stolen in 7 years, two on trailers and one that was started with a generic key.

 

The adjacent house owner in the last case heard and saw the grinder cutting the chain and did nothing.
