thats a good tip cheers.

 

spoke to stihl rep, and apperently its a common fault that they are aware of. the have told me that they do another filter as an aftermarket option which should stop it. sounds iffi to me but the next time in at the dealers ill ask:hmmmm2:

 

there are 3 filter options listed:thefinger:

the best aftermarket filter is a husqvarna one with saw attached:thefinger:

 

cool, then all we need is an extra half an hour on our working day to start it. Does it get supplied with a paper bag for your head so you don't have to be seen with an orange piece of crap in our hands?

Ive used both saws you have mentioned in the original post, at this end of the market, i would and did go stihl, i tried both before buying and the stihl is definantly the better saw
