if its not for you then mark then dont buy one, they are wee chippers that chip wee stuff simples, if you can get it close to the tree and save dragging and leave stuff onsite then you are onto a winner, if not then its back to being a wee chipper, lol. but chipping and carrying out chip is far easier and cleaner aswell with zero tidy up of the lawns and drive/pavement/rd. I laughed the first time i did this with a gardener i was cutting for, he said he will take all the chippings off site in wheely bins, i shook my head and just got on with it, he alternated 4 bins, we used a tracked chipper, the drag was easy 100 yards, he tipped them into ton sacks, we finished, no clearing up and he had about 10 bags of mulch at £40 a bag, not daft, thats why he is building a million pound house just now and is the same age as me and works himself:thumbup1: so i took his leed:biggrin:

I think in an ideal world I would have one in addition to my TW, I can easily see the advantage of not dragging brush, minimal tidy up etc.

Stevie, is there a better transport method of carrying the chips out of gardens than a wheelie bin?

One day.....

i have only done it once tbh, mate. in the 6 months i have had gloria i have only taken stuff home about 6 times and they were just with the truck and hiab, i have used a normal plastic bin and just put it over my shoulder, but everyone is willing to take the chip to keep the cost down.:thumbup1:

To be fair, the GreenMech dealer had a full diary of other things to do when the demo was requested. The machine was at another depot I know, which doesn't help but sometimes us sales people cannot be there when your job has to be done. It can be awkward at times but if the time/place doesn't fit both diaries then someone is going to feel put out.

How would you buyers feel if when taking about a demonstration I turned around said "No, it's this friday or you can forget it!" You would likely just walk away and get something else, but if you want friday and we cannot get their because of prior arrangements, sorry, but get over it and re-book.
