For a 660 to cut faster than a 661,
You have to do a looooooot of work to it.
Can be done but it’s a big job.

My Stock 661,

Noticeably faster, however if you let that go out on our  job, it would come back blunt and blocked air filter, probably with burnt clutch 😮 K

I have been mulling the idea that when the house build is more complete here ( not too far off ) I may see if there is interest in a bit of a camping / saw fest / beer up festival at my place. [emoji106] Sunday saws especially welcome [emoji23]

Sorry, I didn't mean the saw was a gimmick, I meant the fact that it used the same base as a 660 and was "upgradable". No doubt it's a good saw!

Absolutely no need for an apology, it was just the wee devil no my shoulder at arf one in the morning after many drams...I reckoned I new exactly what you meant but I just couldn't help myself 🤣

If I ever do upgrade I'm fairly sure it'll be to an 881.

Nope, would be interesting to run one of mine against it. Circa 3 seconds difference in cut speed so circa 15% between the two!

I’ll send you one of my 660’s to do and compare if you are available in January [emoji106]
